Meeting with Alexandra Mau
Can you introduce yourself ?
I am originally from Lot et Garonne. I studied communication and cultural project management. This allowed me to discover the South-East of France for a few years. Subsequently, I specialized in music festivals and today I work for this kind of event throughout the year. I manage the volunteers, although I may have other positions from time to time. My strong point remains the contact with the populations, the need of the teams ... Integrate the premises in the projects of their city.
The two festivals for which I work in Val de Garonne are : the Garorock in Marmande which will be held from 30 June to 2 July and the International Journalism Festival in Couthures sur Garonne from 27 to 30 July.
A place to recommend in Val de Garonne ?
Go to Sainte Bazeille during the festival of flowers and strawberries ! This small town, which resembles all the rest of the year, transcends during this animation. It is a place where I love being and meeting people. A moment out of time between the good food to be tasted, the stands, the garage sales ... a good condensed of our region.
A beautiful meeting in Val de Garonne ?
She’s professional, That’s the Garorock team. Garorock gave me a chance to prove myself before I even finished my studies ... This team offered me an internship and then a job, the first ! And it has been going on for 10 years.
Your best holiday memories ?
The festivals of villages spent in the neighborhood of Marmande : Montpouillan, Le Mas d’Agenais, Samazan, Saint Pardoux ... All the festivals where everyone knew each other ! Friendly and family meetings ! At Caumont, we caught pigs, we jumped in the pools ... good memories of childhood. Celebrations that are still found today.
If the Val de Garonne was a season ?
In the summer, the season of festivals and village festivals.
If the Val de Garonne was a dish ?
If the Val de Garonne was a tree ?
A pretty cherry tree on which one climbs, one goes up, one has fun.
If the Val de Garonne was a country ?
Compared to the twinning of Marmande and compared to the warm side of the Val de Garonne I would say Spain.
If the Val de Garonne was a color ?
Green camauses with fields and farmland.
If the Val de Garonne was a party ?
The casetas of Marmande ... a nice place !
If the Val de Garonne was an animal ?
A rabbit, we cross a lot in the night by car ...
If the Val de Garonne were a utopia ?
Let all the communities, which make up the wealth of this territory, be even more in exchange and understanding. Let everyone have a nice place.
If there was a photo of the Val de Garonne ?
A walk in July in the middle of agricultural fields, which highlight the diversity of agriculture.
