Here, a nineteenth century stained glass window in the process of being restored, there, a new stained glass window for a front door...a sand-blasted glass is reflected in a mirror that recalls times past...Working by hand with lead and tin, this ancient craft involves many stages and techniques: drawing, cutting the glass, painting, grisaille, enamelling, firing, melting, crimping.... The stained glass windows, lamps, carvings, glass objects that are emerging in Fourques are all invitations to travel to discover and meet with their creators. The workshop is open to the public year-round by appointment.
